The rack bolts directly to the Custom’s factory roof holes, so there are no rails, no drilling and no gutter clamps. Which Transit Custom do you have?
This matters more than anything else. The new-shape Custom (2023 onwards) has a completely different roof to the previous generation (2012–2023), and racks for one do not fit the other. The new shape has threaded factory mounting points built into the roof, which is why this rack needs no rails. These racks are for the new shape only. If you’re not sure which you’ve got, send us your reg and we’ll check.

The new-shape Custom shares its body and roof with the Volkswagen Transporter T7, so one rack design fits both. T7 owners can shop the VW T7 roof racks.

SWB or LWB?
Pick the rack that matches your van’s wheelbase: the SWB rack for the short-wheelbase Custom, the LWB rack for the long-wheelbase. Both are the same price and spec.

What the rack takes
It’s a full platform, not a set of bars. Add deck panels, solar brackets, a Starlink Mini mount or a roof tent, and move them around later as your build changes.

Do I need roof rails? No. On the 2023+ Custom the rack bolts to the factory roof holes.

Will it fit the old-shape (2012–2023) Custom? No. The roofs are different. These racks are for the new shape only.

Can I fit a roof tent? Yes.

How long does it take to fit? Usually 1–2 hours with a second pair of hands and basic hand tools. Full instructions are linked by QR code on every rack.

Does it add wind noise? Virtually none. It’s a low-profile platform with integrated fairings.
