VW Crafter MWB Roof Rack | Modular Aluminium | CORE | YAKKT

The YAKKT CORE is a modular aluminium roof rack for the MWB VW Crafter and MAN TGE. It is designed to fit both the VW Crafter (2017 onwards) and the MAN TGE using the same mounting points, and requires no drilling or modification to the vehicle — the rack bolts directly to the factory roof fixing points that come as standard on both vans.

The rack is made from 5083 marine-grade aluminium using 6mm profiles for the main structure and 4mm for secondary components. The complete assembly weighs 25kg. It comes with a front and rear fairing as standard, which shapes airflow over the rack and keeps additional wind noise to virtually nothing at motorway speeds.

Three crossbars are included with the MWB version. Each crossbar runs dual L-track channels along its full length, allowing accessories to be mounted side by side on the same bar. The rack is compatible with YAKKT’s range of roof deck panels, solar panel brackets, and awning mount brackets — all of which use the same fixing pattern and can be added at any point after the rack is fitted.

The deck panels are available in full or split configurations depending on your roof fan layout. The solar brackets are designed to sit panels flush with the crossbar surface rather than raised above it, which keeps the overall profile low. If you have a roof fan already installed, the crossbar spacing can be adjusted at fitting to work around it.

Installation takes around an hour with two people using standard tools. If the van is already converted and access to the factory holes is restricted, the rack can be fitted using rivnuts instead.
